The event is organized in cooperation with the National Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan for UNESCO, Ministry of Culture, State Committee for Tourism Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Hunarmand Association, UNESCO office in Uzbekistan and other organizations.

 

The event will be attended by masters, artists, specialists of the sphere from Russia, China, Spain, France, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and other countries.

 

Within the framework of the festival a meeting of experts on traditional textile along the Silk Road, international scientific conference on “Interaction of cultures of the East and West on the Great Silk Road: Hangzhou, Margilan, Valencia” will be held. Master classes for young artisans, textile exhibitions, as well as the “City of Craftsmen” Applied Arts Fair, fashion show of Uzbekistan designers, kurash championships, performances of ropewalkers and puppet theaters will be organized.
