From September 18 to September 22, the annual ICTWEEK Uzbekistan 2017 – Week of Information and Communication Technologies will take place. This event will traditionally combine a number of specialized events into a single format.

The new format of the ICT Week, successfully launched in 2015, allows most efficient organization and structuring of all events, making their visit as convenient as possible for participants and visitors. The main goal of the ICT Week, as before, is to achieve practical results in the development of the information and communication technologies market of Uzbekistan, enhance the dialogue between ICT experts and develop competitive advantages of the subjects of the national market.

The event will be held under the patronage of the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The organizer of ICTWEEK Uzbekistan 2017 is ICTNEWS Conferences.

The official opening of ICTWEEK Uzbekistan 2017 will be announced at the press conference at INHA University in Tashkent on September 18.

The opening event of ICTWEEK Uzbekistan 2017 will be the Summit on Information and Communication Technologies ICTSUMMIT 2017, which will take place in the plenary session on September 19 in the conference hall of the NEC “UZEXPOCENTER”. The summit will allow the participants to sum up the development of the IT sector of the current year, to discuss the strategic tasks facing the industry. Participants of the Summit will be heads of government bodies, enterprises and organizations in the field of communications and information technology, international experts and analysts, representatives of international IT companies.

An important place in ICTWEEK Uzbekistan 2017 is the exhibition of information and communication technologies ICTEXPO-2017, in which over 100 companies-exhibitors will take part. Pavilion 1 of the NEC “UZEXPOCENTER” plans to receive more than 30 thousand visitors in three days. The exhibition will be held in Tashkent (September 19 – 21).

Another bright event is ICTFORUM 2017, where it is planned to discuss results and achievements in the field of local and global Internet developments. The forum will function for two days (September 20-21) and will take place in the format of block conferences, breakout sessions, master classes and panel discussions. The venue for the Forum will also be NEC “UZEXPOCENTER” in the conference hall.

The work of the Forum will consist of a series of profiled events, within the framework of which there will be conferences devoted to eGovernment Uzbekistan and digital transformation in the financial sector, as well as sectional sessions: IT Infrastructure and Information Security.

The program of the ICT Forum will include various interactive events to attract a wide range of people and will be aimed at popularization and manifestation of interest in information technologies.

The format of ICT Week allows not only the most efficient organization and structuring of all events, but also making their visit as convenient as possible for participants and visitors. To do this, all the main events will be held in one place.

In parallel with the main events within the framework of the Week, a number of interesting events will take place.

ITU Regional Training Seminar “Integrated Information Security in the ICT Sector Companies in the Context of” Internet of Everything “(IoE)” (September 19-21).

The purpose of the training seminar is to teach methods and ways for preventing and responding to incidents of cybersecurity, to increase the level of knowledge of specialists in the field of “the Internet of everything”, in particular, in the field of information security in ICT companies, analysing situations in the field of cybersecurity, Which will be aimed at providing comprehensive information security in the ICT sector companies.

Meeting of the working group of the Regional Commonwealth in the field of high-level communication on the development of the Information Society (HLWG) (September 21).

The purpose of the HLWG of the event is the interaction of the RCC participants in the field of ICT and the construction of an information society that contributes to the development of the economic, social, political and cultural spheres of society and improves the quality of life. Members of the HLWG are representatives of the RCC Communications Administrations at the level of deputy ministers.

Priority directions of the activities of the HLWG: regulation of the use of the Internet, including issues of the internationalization of its infrastructure, assistance in the development and promotion of software products, the development of joint projects in the field of “Internet of Things” and digital economy, the development of a common functional platform for RCC participants in the field of e-government, assistance creation of data processing centres in the RCC participants’ countries , etc.
