Tashkent hosts International Financial and Banking Forum on “CIS financial markets: New opportunities”.

The annual meeting of the Budget Community of the PEMPAL International Program (“Mutual Learning and Exchange of Experience in the Sphere of Public Finance Management”) finished its work in Tashkent. It was organized by the World Bank, the PEMPAL Secretariat and the Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan.

The results of Uzbekistan’s National Public Expenditure and Financial Accountability (PEFA) assessment carried out with the support of the World Bank and the European Union were presented today. Its findings will help the Government build a more effective system for managing public finances, increase transparency of the state budget and attractiveness of the country for international donors and foreign lenders. 

On February 28, 2019, a press conference was held at the National Press Center on the topic “Inflation: the essence, causes, forms of manifestation and role in the economy”.

On February 27, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the World Bank delegation led by Vice President for Europe and Central Asia Cyril Muller.

On October 30 of this year, the meeting of the Chairman of Begalov Bahodir Abdusalomovich with representatives of the International Monetary Fund headed by Mr. Albert Eger was held in the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Statistics.
