The Minister for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications Azim Akhmedkhadjaev met with the Vice President of the Korean company LG CNS Woon Yul Jeong. During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the current state of information technologies of Uzbekistan in the light of ongoing reforms in the country, discussed issues of cooperation on supporting activities of the joint venture LG CNS Uzbekistan and further mutually beneficial cooperation and using the LG CNS’s experience and capabilities. 

The team of girls from Uzbekistan for the first time in history reached the finals of Technovation international competition.

Today, a regional ITU (International Telecommunication Union) workshop for the CIS countries and the Asia-Pacific region on “Big Data and Cloud Computing” has started in Tashkent. The workshop is organized by the ITU and the Ministry for Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan. 

On June 6, 2018, a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Uzbekistan Yerik Utembayev was held at the Ministry for Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan. 

Minister for Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan Azim Akhmedkhadjayev held a round table discussion with participation of mobile operators and Internet providers, dedicated to discussion of further improving the quality of communication, information and telecommunication services. 

The Minister for Development of Information Technologies and Communications of Uzbekistan Azim Akhmedkhadjayev met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Republic of Uzbekistan Nobuaki Ito. 

Within the framework of the state visit of the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to Uzbekistan on April 23-24, 2018, the Ministry for Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Communications of Turkmenistan signed an Agreement on technical basis for coordination of radio frequency assignments in 29.7 – 960 MHz radio frequency, used by radio services of the Republic Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.
