The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Austria was informed that the Board of Governors of the OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID) approved a project on providing drinking water to 22 settlements in Yangikurgan district and partially in Namangan city worth 54 million USD.

Delegation led by the CEO of Turkey’s company Kanimed Alles Sag’lik Cozumleri A.S., Filiz Erdogan, arrived in Namangan region.

Washington D.C. hosted a briefing for representatives of the American business community, which was attended by representatives of companies, NGOs and media, as well as staff of the U.S. Department of Commerce, the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank.

A new regional project of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) “Support in the preparation of national strategies to promote the export of selected agricultural products in Azerbaijan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan” was presented in Tashkent. In Uzbekistan, the project is being implemented jointly with the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

On March 15, the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Malaysia hosted negotiations with representatives of Clay Industries Sdn. Bhd. Issues of cooperation in production of sanitary-ceramic products and high-quality porcelain tableware were discussed.

On March 14, Tashkent hosted a presentation of the results of the assessment of public expenditure and financial accountability (PEFA) in Uzbekistan, conducted by the World Bank with the assistance of the European Union.

The results of Uzbekistan’s National Public Expenditure and Financial Accountability (PEFA) assessment carried out with the support of the World Bank and the European Union were presented today. Its findings will help the Government build a more effective system for managing public finances, increase transparency of the state budget and attractiveness of the country for international donors and foreign lenders. 

The delegation of the JSC “O’zbekiston temir yo’llari” (Uzbekistan Railways) attended the 5th Meeting of the Heads of Reference of Maritime Organizations of ECO Member States, in Tehran.
