January 30, Tashkent city. By tradition, on this day, the general public gathered at the Scientific and Enlightenment Memorial Complex named after Islam Karimov.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Complex. He laid flowers at the monument to Islam Karimov.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Chambers of the Oliy Majlis, the Presidential Administration and the Government, scientists and cultural figures, and representatives of the intelligentsia.

Preserving the memory of selfless sons of the people, honoring their good deeds are our national values. They serve as an example and guide for future generations.

Today’s ceremony has become the embodiment of such high respect. Verses from the Quran and dua were recited. The deeds of Islam Karimov for the benefit and the interests of our people, his high human qualities were noted.

The Head of state got acquainted with the progress of work on creating the Islam Karimov Museum in the Complex.

Flowers were also laid at the monuments to Islam Karimov in Samarkand and Karshi.
