On August 20, the Paralympic sports delegation of Uzbekistan departed for Japan to participate in the Summer Paralympic Games, which will be held from August 24 to September 5 in Tokyo.

In this regard, the National Paralympic Committee of Uzbekistan hosted a solemn ceremony of seeing off the country’s athletes.

Despite the difficult epidemiological situation, 48 of Uzbekistan’s para-athletes, living with a sense of belonging to the bright future of the new Uzbekistan, dreaming of raising the flag of the country high at prestigious competitions, won 55 licenses to participate in the Paralympic Games. This became a significant event in the sport's history of Uzbekistan. At the sports arenas in Tokyo, the country’s Paralympians will fight for victory in 8 sports.

The ceremony of seeing off the sports delegation of Uzbekistan in Tokyo was attended by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan A. Aripov, Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan T. Narbayeva, Advisor to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan A. Abduvokhitov.
