President chairs a meeting on construction of several facilities

On July 26, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the presentation of projects for the construction of cultural, medical, trade and service facilities.
As previously reported, it is planned to build a modern library in the National Park of Uzbekistan named after Alisher Navoi. The original plan was shown a month ago, and a project has been presented, finalized based on the recommendations of the Head of the state.
Thus, the architecture of the library is inspired by the ancient monuments of Uzbekistan. All the requirements related to the storage of a huge book fund, conditions for readers, cultural leisure, conduction of various events were taken into account.
During the presentation, the project of the library was considered in all details.
The Head of the state was also reported on the progress of work on the organization of oncological and hematological centers.
As is known, on May 27 this year, a resolution of the President was adopted “On further improving the system of providing hematological and oncological services to the population”. Following this document, a new building will be built for the Republican Medical Center of Oncology and Radiology.
More than 5 hectares have been allocated for this center on the territory of the clinic of Tashkent Medical Academy. The project was developed taking into account the best practices of foreign medical institutions. All conditions are provided for doctors and patients. Collaboration is underway with the South Korean group Daedong Medical Consulting. It brings together over 50 consulting companies and has been involved in the construction of over 600 institutions in Korea and abroad.
According to the resolution of the President, qualitative changes are also taking place in the sphere of hematology. In particular, the Department of Pediatric Hematology, Oncology and Clinical Immunology will be allocated to a separate center and from next year will start operating independently of the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Hematology. These two centers will be located in newly built modern buildings on Arnasay Street in Chilanzar district of Tashkent.
During the presentation, the activities carried out to locate these centers in new buildings were considered. They are fully equipped with the necessary appliances and furniture. Each bed is equipped with oxygen units. An outpatient clinic was organized, designed to receive 100 patients a day, as well as a hospital. The Electronic Clinic program is being introduced, which operates via fiber-optic internet.
It is also planned to build buildings for bacteriological and virological laboratories, a vivarium.
Under the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan of November 12, 2020, the Termez International Trade Center is being created on the territory of Termez Free Economic Zone. The Head of the state got acquainted with the master plan of the center during a trip to Surkhandarya region.
According to the project with a total cost of $75 million, the complex will have 1,800 retail outlets, a logistics center and warehouses with a capacity of almost 1 million tons of cargo, an expo center with an area of 1.6 thousand meters, as well as two hotels, a hostel, a hospital, car service centers and others.
26 hectares in Termez district have been allocated for the future center. It is planned to place shops on the first floors of the buildings, and light industry enterprises on the second.
The International Trade Center will have special tax and customs regimes, a visa-free stay for up to 10 days, and a “single window” principle.
The shopping center’s annual turnover is envisaged to amount to $500 million, and an export volume of $200 million. More than 5.6 thousand people are expected to be employed.
Plans for the effective use of state property in the city of Tashkent, the organization of trade and service centers along the roads of Namangan region were also discussed at the event.
