The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Minister of External Affairs of the Republic of India Subrahmanyam Jaishankar during the Tashkent International Conference.

The President of Uzbekistan noted with satisfaction the progressive development of Uzbekistan – Indian strategic partnership and multifaceted cooperation following the agreements reached during the regular contacts at the highest level.

Minister Jaishankar conveyed warm greetings and wishes of the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi to the Leader of Uzbekistan. 

The efforts of Uzbekistan to promote connectivity between Central and South Asia, as well as regional projects aimed at achieving peace in Afghanistan and the economic recovery of this country were highly appreciated.

The importance of promoting bilateral projects in investment, innovation, trade, business, logistics, information technology, healthcare and other priority areas, with the active involvement of the regions of the two countries, was emphasized.

Interest was expressed in continuing a productive dialogue in India – Central Asia format.
