Uzbekistan wrestling championship kicks off in Jizzak

The country's wrestling championship among boys and girls born in 2001-2003 has started in Jizzak.

About 900 young wrestlers from all over the country compete in 15 weight categories at the Jizzakh Olympic Reserve College.
At the opening ceremony of the competition, organized by the Kurash Federation of Uzbekistan, the administration of the Jizzakh region, the regional prosecutor's office and the regional department of physical culture and sports, the history of Uzbek kurash and its role in our national spirituality were discussed. As already noted, struggle is a school of upbringing that contributes to the formation in a person of such qualities as honesty, courage and high morals.

In this regard, recognition of the growing authority of our people in the world and the importance of the President's attitude to these relations. The audience presented demonstration performances in the field of martial arts as new products. On the first day of the championship, girls competed in the weight categories -44 kg, -48 kg and -52 kg, and juniors in the weight categories -55 kg, -60 kg and -66 kg. When the strongest in their weight category are selected,
the final competitions were held. In particular, Hamida Fazlieva from Bukhara won in the weight category up to 44 kg among girls and became the champion of the country. In the weight category -48 kg, Kashkadarya Gulhayo Dzhuraeva did not find a worthy opponent, and in the weight category -52 kg Dillola Dehkanbaeva from Tashkent took the top step of the podium. The Jizzakh Olympic Reserve College continues the Uzbekistan Wrestling Championship among boys and girls born in 2001-2003.
