2021-03-18 | Politics

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Eshonobod mahalla of Chinaz district.

More than 3 thousand people live in the mahalla. Houses, schools, roads and utilities here have been repaired to improve living conditions within the framework of Obod Qishloq (Prosperous Village) program. A modern Palace of Culture has been built.

The Head of the state talked with the residents of this multinational mahalla.

“The purpose of my visit is to create modern conditions in Tashkent region. The population of the region is a little less than 3 million people. 150 thousand of them are unemployed. That is why we need to find growth points in each mahalla, identify those responsible for their use, allocate the necessary funds and employ people. It is necessary to improve the supply of drinking water, electricity, roads, education and other conditions. 119 trillion UZS will be allocated for large and medium-sized projects in the region”, the President said.

The changes taking place in Chinaz district, unused opportunities were discussed at the meeting.

“In fact, there should be no unemployed in Chinaz district. The district is rich in land and hardworking people. There should be a culture in every house, on every street. You will achieve the result by working hard. We need to work together. If we want changes, we all must change our consciousness”, said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

A branch of Public Services Center, a bank branch, a medical center and a sewing enterprise have been opened in the mahalla.

The Head of the state got acquainted with the activities of the Kujakent Textile Group enterprise.

500 women work here in two shifts. Over the past month and a half, the team has exported ready-made clothes worth $100 thousand. There is a modern center that trains 200 people in sewing.

Responsible officials were instructed to assist entrepreneurs, including in the allocation of buildings and funds, to take measures to increase the number of such small enterprises and provide employment for 3,000 women.
Then the President held a dialogue with media representatives.
