In preparation for the 2023 population census of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Embassy of Switzerland in Uzbekistan and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) representative office donated 41 desktop computers, 31 black and white printers, 1 color multifunction printer, 1 camera, 15 LCD monitors, 15 Smart TVs, 15 desktop microphones, 15 webcams and 15 Wi-Fi routers are handed over for use to the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Statistics.

The ceremony was attended by the Ambassador of the Switzerland to Uzbekistan Mr. Olivier Chave, Director of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Uzbekistan Mr. Yu Yu and Deputy Chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Statistics Makhmudjon Ziyadullayev.

This equipment will be used to organize various conferences, seminars and round tables, through videoconferencing between the Committee and territorial departments of statistics for the timely organization and conduct of census processes in a pandemic.
