On November 2, 2020, an online meeting was held between the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Minister of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction - Jamshid Kuchkarov and Daniel Rosenblum, the US Ambassador in Uzbekistan, on technical cooperation between the United States and the Republic of Uzbekistan.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Uzbek side provided information on the ongoing reforms and measures in the field of economic development, despite the factors that influenced the economy of the republic in the context of the pandemic.

During the meeting, the factors influencing the growth of the economy were discussed, namely: ensuring employment of the population, supporting entrepreneurship, improving the quality of education and qualifications of the population, and a number of other issues.

Following the discussion, Mr. Daniel Rosenblum praised the ongoing reforms and positive economic indicators during the pandemic, and also expressed his readiness to provide technical support together with donor countries in the course of further economic reforms.
