President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Republican Emergency Care Research Center.

A new building intended for 75 beds is being built here for the departments of cardiac surgery, transplantology and vascular neurosurgery. Modern working conditions will be created and the frequency of operations will increase.

The departments will provide high-tech emergency medical care to an additional 3 thousand patients per year. Doctors, who will start working here, have improved their qualifications in leading medical and scientific centers in Austria, Turkey and Japan.

More than a thousand minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for acute coronary syndrome and acute circulatory disorders of the brain will be performed annually in the department of interventional procedures.

The building will also have an intensive care unit, intensive care beds, practice rooms, a diagnostic department with high-tech equipment. It will be commissioned in 2021.

The President inspected the construction of departments. Emphasizing that this institution is primarily a research center, the Head of the state noted the need for enhancing the coverage of qualified services. An instruction was given to establish interaction with primary care, invite scientists from abroad, organize an exchange of views with local doctors.
