On October 14, 2020, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India, Manish Prabhat, Uzbekistan MFA reports.
Accepting copies of credentials, the Minister welcomed the Ambassador of friendly India and congratulated him on his appointment to a high and responsible post, wishing him fruitful work.
The parties discussed the state and prospects of development of bilateral relations in political, trade-economic, investment, cultural-humanitarian and other spheres.
Views were exchanged on the schedule of the upcoming joint events at various levels. In particular, it was proposed to hold regular political consultations between the foreign ministries of the two countries.
Special attention was paid to continuation of investment projects in medicine and pharmaceuticals, education and innovation.
The sides expressed interest in restoring tourist exchanges between Uzbekistan and India and increasing the mutual tourist flow.
Other issues of mutual interest were also discussed at the meeting.
