President meets with Oqoltin residents

President of Uzbekistan has visited Yangi Toshkent mahalla in Oqoltin district of Syrdarya region.

130 cottages have been repaired here, engineering and communication networks have been restored. A new mahalla guzar, centers of trade and consumer services, a library, a sports complex, and internal roads have been built.
 
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the work carried out, talked with local residents.
 

“When I came here last time, the situation was very deplorable. I was worried as if my house, my loved ones, my children had suffered. Finding money, organizing the work was not easy. Thank God, everything is behind. May these houses serve you well! I wish you here to live in prosperity and hold weddings. My biggest goal is to see our youth happy”, said the Head of the state.

 
In addition, a sewing enterprise “Nafis liboslar” was organized in the mahalla. More than 50 women and girls started working here. The President talked with the staff.
 

“We will increase attention to women. The prosperity of our country, the implementation of all our plans depends on their happiness”, said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

When the enterprise reaches full capacity, it will be able to produce 500 thousand units of products per year. Some of the goods are planned to be exported.
 
The Head of the state visited a family polyclinic and talked with medical workers. Issues of strengthening the role of medicine in formation of a healthy lifestyle and long life, popularization of physical activity were discussed.
 
“If we promote the benefits of walking and the culture of proper nutrition, then we will solve 30-40 percent of problems in medicine”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized.
 
Instructions were given to strengthen explanatory work in this direction, and to develop incentive mechanisms.
