SMIIC developed 17 new standards in 2020

The Standards and Metrology Institute for Islamic Countries (SMIIC), affiliated to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, develops OIC / SMIIC standards in collaboration with member states. The organization was established on November 7, 1999 and has 42 Member States.
On October 2, 2018, the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan No-493 «On the ratification of the Charter and Rules of Procedure of SMIIC» was adopted, and
on 1 January 2019, the Republic of Uzbekistan became a full member of this organization.
SMIIC currently has 18 technical committees in various fields, and 35 standards have been developed by them. In our Republic, in accordance with the Halal requirements of the SMIIC organization, 6 state standards have been developed and adopted.
