The Directorate of Art Exhibitions of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan has organized a personal exhibition of the artist Andrey Krikis “Our Heritage”.
A. Krikis was born in Yaroslavl (Russia) in a family of archaeologists. They first moved to Tashkent, then to Samarkand. The first exhibition of the artist took place in 1986, the last in 1994.
The artist created more than 500 paintings. He exhibited his works at exhibitions in Irkutsk, Kazan, Riga, Moscow, Delhi, Stockholm and Gothenburg, as well as at the International Biennale in Bangladesh and at the festival in San Francisco. In addition to museums in Uzbekistan, his unique works are stored in galleries in England, Germany, Greece, Israel, the United States, Russia, Thailand, France and Sweden.
This year marks the 70th Anniversary of the artist.
The exposition presents more than 20 works stored in the fund of the Directorate of Art Exhibitions of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan and included in the personal collection of the artist.
