Instructions given to restore the burst dam

As previously reported, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visits Syrdarya region in connection with the emergency situation in the region.
The burst of Sardoba Reservoir dam was an unexpected disaster, another trial that befell the country. Under the leadership of the Head of the state, people of Uzbekistan have united, without panic and resolutely proceeded to eliminate the consequences of the disaster.
The Government Commission has been formed, all forces and means have been attracted to fight the emergency. Residents of flooded makhallas were evacuated to safe districts, provided with shelter and food.
Remediation continues. The Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Water Resources, the Ministry of Defense, law enforcement agencies, construction and repair organizations and local khokimiyats, acting in a coordinated manner, are taking measures to normalize the life in the region.
It should be noted that the work is organized around the clock, hundreds of units of construction and other special equipment are working. Highly qualified engineers specializing in hydraulic structures, workers and experts from related spheres and industries are also involved.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev today visited Sardoba Reservoir and observed the restoration of the dam. Having thoroughly discussed the situation with specialists, he gave instructions on qualitative structure strengthening.
