In Uzbekistan the year 2020 was declared the "Year of science, education and digital economy development". But no one guessed at the beginning of the year that this could become so relevant in the current situation.  

Now the country and all the world are going through difficult times and digitalization of all sectors of the economy is becoming a priority for the entire state. Tourism is moving in the same direction. 

Recently, it was announced that Uzbekistan will begin to develop digital tourism, which will increase the awareness of our country abroad and increase the flow of tourists in the after-crisis period, thereby making up for the losses incurred during the pandemic. In this direction, the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for tourism development with "National PR-center" State Unitary Enterprise is working on the development of the  Online-tourism.uz website which includes several sections, both "For tourists" and "For entrepreneurs in the tourism sector" and "For start-ups". 

Today we would like to elaborate on the first section "For tourists", which is integrated with the National tourism website www.uzbekistan.travel.

Work on improving of the uzbekistan.travel website  was started at the beginning of this year. This is the official tourist resource of our country, which includes information about the tourist potential of Uzbekistan, useful information for tourists, historical and cultural datas, interesting facts and tourist routes.

On this portal, we tried to convey the beauty and uniqueness of every corner of our country in an "accessible and convenient" language for tourists, as well as for residents of our country. There is a section "Tourism for all", where tourist routes ang travel opportunities are detailed throughout the country, which are updated on a constant online basis. In the "For Traveler" section you can find all the necessary information that you may need, both before coming to our country and during your stay.

One of the main sections is "Attractions", where you can make virtual excursions along the tourist routes of the country. At the same time, everyone here can find what they need, whether it is unexplored ecotouristic routes, objects of ziyarat (pilgrimage) tourism or Buddhist heritage, architectural and archaeological monuments or museums.

Special attention is paid to the section "Photo Gallery", which has the advantage of not just viewing photos about Uzbekistan, but also the availability of downloading them in a high definition. This is done so that everyone can use these or other unique images for free for the purpose of presenting our country, or just keep them as a souvenir and share them with friends. What is not unimportant, the site has implemented interactive services that allow the user to ask a question online in any foreign language. At the same time, we have established cooperation with travel companies in Uzbekistan, and this makes it possible to book a tour online  that you like.

The external and internal interface of the site are designed with the latest trends, taking into account modern technologies. Languages Uzbekistan.travel is planned to operate in 15 languages, including Russian, Uzbek, English, German, Japanese, Chinese, French, Turkish, Spanish, etc. For each language version of the site, a separate structure will be developed that will include the interests and search queries of residents of the corresponding region, which will allow you to get exactly the information that residents from different countries of the world are interested in.
