Samarkand hosts Uzbekistan – Netherlands Agribusiness Forum

Samarkand hosted Uzbekistan – Netherlands Agribusiness Forum on March 12.
The forum was attended by businesspeople led by Adviser to the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the Russian Federation on Agriculture Meuves Brouwer.
Samarkand region’s khokim E. Turdimov addressed the opening ceremony of the forum. It was also attended by Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan F. Usmanov and Director of Uzbekchorvanasl Agency, as well as representatives of business community.
Guests were informed about agricultural potential of Uzbekistan, in particular, of Samarkand region. The delegation from the Kingdom of the Netherlands also made presentations on agricultural potential of the Netherlands. In addition, local producers fair was organized, where guests were presented products manufactured in Uzbekistan.
The event also included B2B meetings, where businesspeople of the two countries discussed issues of expanding trade-economic relations and developing mutually beneficial cooperation.
