President notes the need for development of a restoration school

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Ichan-Kala complex in the city of Khiva and got acquainted with the results of restoration work carried out in Amir Tura Madrasah.

Ichan-Kala is a unique fortress, where the traditions of architecture and craftsmanship, the cultural heritage of our people are embodied. There are 58 historical sites and 17 museums. The complex is included in UNESCO World Heritage List.
 
Currently, activity is carried out for restoration and conservation of monuments.
 
Construction of Amir Tura Madrasah began in 1872. There are 54 hujras, the courtyard is decorated with mosaics. There were also two domes, a winter and a summer mosque, a class. The decoration of the facade discontinued due to the invasion of the Russian Empire in Khorezm.
 
Madrasah has turned into one of the tourist sites of Ichan-Kala.
 
The Head of the state noted that each brick of ancient architectural monuments has historical value, meaning is hidden in each pattern. He emphasized the need for bringing our cultural heritage to the next generations and development of a restoration school for this purpose.

Presentation of projects on the use of huge tourism potential of Khorezm region took place.

 
A program for development of tourism in the region in 2020-2021 has been developed. So, it is planned to create theme parks “Anor”, “Anjir” in Khiva district, “Mennonite village” in Yangiarik district.
 
Last December, Khorezm Lazgi dance was inscribed on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Representatives of foreign countries are interested in studying this national dance. In this regard, it is planned to open a Lazgi Academy in the region.
 
Currently, more than 600 farms are engaged in fish farming in the region. For the effective use of their potential in gastronomic tourism, it is planned to organize an international class service at 71 lakes.
 
Instructions have been given for finalizing projects.
