Uzbekistan, EAEU discuss cooperation development issues

The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting to discuss the issue of submitting conclusions and proposals to the Chambers of the Oliy Majlis on the results of an analytical and comprehensive assessment of cooperation with the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
It was noted that the results of reforms carried out in Uzbekistan at the new stage are associated with integration into the world economy system and especially with development of trade-economic relations with neighboring countries. Economic integration plays an important role in increasing the competitiveness of products, reducing their cost, importing new technologies, expanding transit trade and actively developing market reforms.
Researches of leading independent consulting companies on this issue and research institutions, proposals and conclusions of foreign and local experts were also considered at the meeting.
Expert opinions on major sectors of the economy and industrial policy, regulation of customs tariffs and foreign trade policy, labor migration, standardization and veterinary medicine, sanitary and phytosanitary control and other issues were studied.
Following the event, a decision was taken to submit to the Chambers of the Oliy Majlis the conclusion and proposals developed on the basis of the analytical and comprehensive assessment.
