Grant contracts have been signed within the framework of the program of gratuitous assistance of the Government of Japan, in Tashkent.
Grant contracts were signed for 9 social projects worth 681,000 USD, including 5 in medicine, 3 in preschool education and 1 in culture.
The Government of Japan provides free assistance to Uzbekistan in culture. One of the signed documents provides for the modernization of the technique used to study Japanese at Uzbekistan State University of World Languages.
The signing ceremony was attended by the leaders of the above social institutions. They emphasized that projects within the framework of gratuitous assistance by the Government of Japan will further strengthen friendly relations between the two countries.
