The system of training highly qualified personnel to be further improved

On February 4, 2020, the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On measures for radically improving the system of training highly qualified personnel and further development of the scientific potential in dance art” was adopted.
According to the document, the State Academy of Choreography of Uzbekistan will be created in the country in the system of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the form of a state higher education institution on the basis of Tashkent State Higher School of National Dance and Choreography. The Republican Specialized School of Choreography in the system of Tashkent State Higher School of National Dance and Choreography will be transformed into the Republican Specialized Boarding School of Choreography in the Academy system with the status of a legal entity. Starting from the 2021/2022 academic year, specialized elementary boarding schools of dance art will be created at the Academy in the cities of Bukhara, Karshi, Namangan and Urgench.
The goal of this project is to create dance schools based on “ustoz – shogird” (mentor – apprentice) traditions, to train specialists and highly qualified personnel in accordance with international standards, to accelerate the development of science with the effective use of scientific potential in dance art.
