On January 9, 2020, the Head of Uzbekistan Mission to NATO, Ambassador Dilyor Khakimov, presented his credentials to the NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, in Brussels.
The head of the organization praised the radical reforms and changes being carried out under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, which would maximize the huge potential of Uzbekistan and bring the country to a new stage of historical development.
The state and prospects of bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and NATO, in particular in the field of military education, as well as the efforts of the international community to ensure stability and security in Afghanistan were discussed.
Jens Stoltenberg emphasized the development of regional cooperation in Central Asia and welcomed the role of Uzbekistan in resolving the Afghan conflict.
