Meeting with Latvia’s Minister of Education and Science

Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Latvia Kadambay Sultanov met with the Minister of Education and Science of Latvia Ilga Šuplinska, in Riga, Uzbekistan MFA reports.
The parties exchanged views on prospects for further building up cooperation in education, including strengthening the normative-legal framework for cooperation, improving the quality of student exchanges, and deepening cooperation through inter-university partnership.
Ilga Šuplinska positively assessed the achieved level of bilateral cooperation in education.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on accelerating the elaboration of the issue of signing Uzbekistan – Latvia Intergovernmental Agreement on Science and Education, and on exchanging information on the possibilities of expanding practical cooperation within the framework of Erasmus+.
