On November 8, 2019, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Irfan Yusuf Shami, completing his diplomatic mission in Uzbekistan.
According to Uzbekistan MFA, prospects for development of bilateral relations, as well as cooperation within the UN, OIC, SCO and other international structures were discussed at the meeting.
As it was emphasized at the meeting, in recent years, thanks to the consistent efforts of both sides, Uzbekistan – Pakistan relations have reached a new level in almost all areas.
The parties spoke in favor of giving new dynamics to the activities of the Intergovernmental Joint Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation, and other joint institutions.
Following the meeting, the Minister thanked the Ambassador for his contribution to development and strengthening of multifaceted ties between the two countries.
The Ambassador, in turn, thanked the Uzbek side for supporting his activities as the head of the Pakistan Embassy in Tashkent.
