On November 1, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Kohir Rasulzoda, who has arrived in Uzbekistan to attend the meeting of the SCO Council of Heads of Government.
The Head of the state, warmly welcoming the guest, noted with great satisfaction the dynamic development of Uzbekistan – Tajikistan friendship and good neighborly relations, which, thanks to the joint efforts of the leaders of the two countries, have reached the strategic partnership level.
Kohir Rasulzoda expressed his deep gratitude to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the traditionally warm welcome and conveyed greetings and most sincere wishes from the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.
The importance of timely and full implementation of the high-level agreements in political, trade-economic, energy, transport, cultural-humanitarian and other priority areas was emphasized at the meeting.
Particular attention was paid to issues of deepening interaction between the border regions.
Current issues of regional cooperation were considered.
