The President receives chairman of Caucasus Muslim Board

On October 14 in Baku, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the chairman of the Caucasus Muslim Board, Sheikh ul-Islam Allahshükür Pashazade.
The meeting served to discuss issues related to the further consolidation of interethnic harmony and religious tolerance, expansion of interfaith dialogue, education and spiritual enlightenment of youth.
The head of our state noted with satisfaction the intensifying international cooperation in these areas.
Joint efforts, it was emphasized, will help effectively counter the current challenges and threats, and promote internationally the genuine values and truly humanistic essence of the holy religion of Islam.
The chairman of the Caucasus Muslim Board, in turn, underscored the importance of Uzbek President’s initiatives and noted the effectiveness of the steps taken to study and preserve the rich heritage of the Islamic world.
In addition, Allahshükür Pashazade expressed willingness to continue with active dialogue and cooperation designed to secure peace, harmony, stability and prosperity in our two countries and the entire region.
