Uzbekistan, Russia develop cooperation

Director General of Russia’s GLONASS Igor Milashevsky visited the Ministry for Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Russia’s GLONASS is a satellite navigation system, one of two fully functioning global satellite navigation systems to date. The main difference from GPS system is that GLONASS satellites in their orbital motion do not have resonance with rotation of the Earth. This provides greater stability.
The sides discussed the prospects of cooperation between Uzbekistan and GLONASS in implementation of modern projects on providing vehicles in Uzbekistan with advanced navigation and network technologies.
