On September 24, 2019, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov met with the Minister of External Affairs of the Republic of India Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, in New York, Uzbekistan MFA reports.
Foreign Ministers of the two countries exchanged views on priority issues of cooperation in political, trade-economic, investment, cultural-humanitarian and other spheres.
The sides noted with satisfaction the new dynamics in bilateral relations, which is the result of regular dialogue between the leaders of Uzbekistan and India.
Special attention was paid to issues of economic cooperation with an emphasis on expanding the range of mutual supplies of goods and services and increasing the volume of trade, implementation of joint investment projects.
The sides considered the schedule and agenda of the upcoming Uzbekistan – India contacts at various levels.
Cooperation issues within the framework of international organizations, as well as cooperation in international and regional security were also discussed at the meeting.
