Uzbek films to be nominated for Oscar

Uzbekistan filmmakers got the opportunity to nominate their films for the Oscar.
Uzbekistan Oscar Committee, registered by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, is established at the initiative of Uzbekistan Youth Union.
In the near future, an event will be organized to get acquainted with members of Uzbekistan Oscar Committee and the system of filing and selection of films applying for the Oscar.
On October 1 this year, Uzbekistan Oscar Committee will nominate the film in the nomination “The best international feature film” at the 92nd Academy Awards, which will be held on February 9, 2020 in Los Angeles.
The coordinating center of Uzbekistan Oscar Committee is National Film Commission of the country.
This goal was achieved thanks to the work of the National Pavilion of Uzbekistan at the film market in Cannes.
The Oscar Committee is open in almost 90 countries of the world, which now includes Uzbekistan.
