Tashkent hosted a political dialogue on financing reforms in Uzbekistan’s healthcare sector, organized by the Ministry of Health and the Representative Office of the World Health Organization in Uzbekistan.
The event was attended by responsible employees for financing reforms and introducing compulsory health insurance, health ministries and agencies, experts from the WHO Regional Office for Europe, Russia, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Spain, Latvia, South Korea, representatives of the World Bank.
The participants discussed issues of implementation of compulsory health insurance and e-health, as well as named aspects that should be paid attention to when organizing the financing of the sphere. The national strategy aimed at financing healthcare and introducing compulsory health insurance was highly appreciated based on a study of world experience and proposals from international experts.
The dialogue was attended by the Advisor to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan A.Abduvakhitov, Deputy Prime Minister A.Abdukhakimov.
