On March 25, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ilkhom Nematov, who arrived in Moscow on a working visit, met with the State Secretary, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Grigoriy Karasin.
According to Uzbekistan MFA, the sides exchanged views on the current agenda of Uzbekistan – Russia strategic partnership and alliance, as well as on some international and regional issues.
Implementation of agreements reached during the negotiations between the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of Russia Vladimir Putin on October 18-19, 2018 in Tashkent, was discussed.
Proposals on the schedule of bilateral contacts at various levels, which will be held in 2019, were also considered at the meeting.
