Uzbekistan delegation, consisting of experts from the Cabinet of Ministers and Ministry of Justice visited Paris to get acquainted with activities of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and aspects of interaction of this organization with Uzbekistan in different directions.

The visit of the delegation of Uzbekistan was organized within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Justice and Government Partnerships International of Great Britain.

Meetings were organized with representatives of Eurasian Division of the OECD at OECD headquarters. Head of the Eurasian Division of the Organization William Tompson briefed the delegation on their main tasks, interaction of OECD with Uzbekistan.

Issues of investment and competitiveness in Central Asia were considered. In particular, OECD representatives presented recommendations on improving legal environment for business in Uzbekistan.

OECD representatives on Anti-Corruption Network for Eastern Europe and Central Asia briefed the delegation on their activities, main international anti-corruption standards. The parties discussed measures and reforms implemented in Uzbekistan in combating corruption.
