The President sets directions for tourism development and construction of “eco-city” in Chartak

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev became familiar with Chortoq Resorts Health Improvement Center, which is being built in Chartak district.
Large-scale activity is carried out in Uzbekistan to fully utilize the capabilities of regions and industries, attract investment and create new jobs.
Modern complex Chortoq Resorts with an area of more than 15 hectares is being built in the hilly terrain at the expense of local entrepreneurs and foreign investors for the total amount of 25 million USD.
This will create additional opportunities for development of medical and ecological tourism in the region.
The sanatorium will offer therapeutic procedures using mineral water rich in iodine, bromine, radon and other elements that are useful for musculoskeletal system, cardiovascular and nervous systems, and endocrinological and dermatological diseases.
The sanatorium for 230 beds will provide employment for 250 people.
It is planned to attract highly qualified physicians, organize medical examinations with participation of specialists from Germany.
Construction of medical and dormitory buildings, cottages for vacationers with families, a hotel has been completed. Solar panels are installed to illuminate the territory of the sanatorium.
Hippotherapy will also be established in the complex, for which stables, open and closed arenas are built. This type of therapy is useful in treating diseases of limbs and pelvis narrowness.
In order to efficiently use the water flowing alongside the sai, four reservoirs were built for raising fish. Conditions for fishing and recreation will be created here along with cultivation of fish for the sanatorium.
The President got acquainted with conditions created in the sanatorium. Gave instructions on expanding the network of such institutions, covering all segments of the population, reducing service prices by increasing competition.
– Iodine deficiency is relevant for our region. In this regard, Chartak’s water, rich in iodine, is very important. But many do not know these places, moreover, the road is far. Therefore, it is necessary to make sure that this place is visited from all over our country, especially Karakalpakstan and Khorezm. For us, the most important thing is the health of people, especially children. After all, a healthy generation is an important condition for development of the economy, – said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The Head of the state became acquainted with the project for expanding the capacity of LLC Chortoq Mineral Water. He noted the need for bringing the release of bottled water to 20-30 million units per year, delivering it to kindergartens, summer camps, hospitals, social pharmacies and supermarkets throughout the country.
Presentation of projects on transforming Chartak into an ecological city, developing the infrastructure of medium-sized cities in cooperation with the World Bank, rebuilding the center of Chartak, expanding Namangan airport, streamlining intercity bus traffic, providing employment for the population under “Every family is an entrepreneur” program took place.
