A delegation of Turkish business circles’ representatives visits Uzbekistan.
The delegation includes representatives of leading companies of Turkey in energy, construction, design, transport and logistics, information technologies, tourism, chemical industry.
Within the framework of the visit, organized by the Senate of the Oliy Majlis and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan together with the Independent Industrialists’ and Businessmen’s Association (MUSAID), on February 25, representatives of business circles of the two countries held a meeting on further strengthening trade-investment cooperation.
First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sadik Safayev, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Adham Ikramov, Vice President of Turkish Business Platform Omer Karayel and others addressed the event.
The trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Turkey has reached 2 billion USD. The parties have many untapped opportunities for increasing this indicator. Last year over 250 Turkish companies opened their representative offices in Uzbekistan.
At the event, representatives of Turkish business were invited to actively cooperate in development of medium and small business in Uzbekistan.
The parties exchanged views on further development of cooperation in tourism, energy, light industry, transport and logistics. Presentation was held on the potential of pilgrimage tourism in Uzbekistan.
Within the framework of the event, representatives of business circles of the two countries held a B2B meeting.
