On February 24, Manama city hosted inter-MFA consultations on contractual and legal issues. The current state and prospects for expanding bilateral relations in political, economic, tourism and other areas were discussed at the meeting.
The delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain was headed by the Director of Organizations, Ambassador Tawfeeq Ahmed Al-Mansoor, and Director of Afro-Asian Affairs Directorate Muna Abbas Mahmood Radhi. Representatives of Bahrain tourism and exhibitions authority also attended the event.
During the consultations, the parties clarified the legal status of the signed agreements and agreed to intensify activities of relevant agencies and organizations of their countries for ensuring their effective implementation.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, the sides discussed issues of cooperation within the UN and other international organizations, exchanged information on participation of the two countries in the international law-making process (codification and progressive development of norms of the international law).
Negotiations were also held with representatives of Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Representatives of the Chamber, which unites more than 83 thousand business entities, expressed interest in establishing direct contacts with representatives of business circles of Uzbekistan for possible participation in promising investment projects in the field of hotel business, processing and export of agricultural products.
