A meeting with the Deputy Director-General of the WTO

The Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting with the Deputy Director-General of the World Trade Organization Alan Wolff.
The Uzbek side informed the delegation of the organization with the ongoing reforms in the country aimed at liberalizing agriculture, noting the vector to reduce the role of the state in the agrarian sector. In turn, Deputy Director-General Alan Wolff noted the readiness of the WTO to assist by providing experts from the organization in agriculture.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the current state of the preparatory process for the negotiation process on accession of the country to the World Trade Organization was discussed at the meeting.
