Minister of Justice meets with the Ambassador of Sweden

On February 20, the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ruslanbek Davletov met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Sweden with residence in Stockholm Ingrid Tersman.

The parties discussed promising areas of cooperation in improving the rule-making process, attracting investment, providing legal and public services, as well as resolving disputes through mediation and arbitration, training highly qualified legal personnel. Views were exchanged on practical aspects of developing relations, including in bilateral and multilateral formats.
 
The Ambassador of Sweden shared her impressions of participation in the International Conference “Central Asian connectivity: challenges and new opportunities” in Tashkent, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the support of the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia and leading analytical institutions of the region.
 
At the meeting, which was held in the spirit of open and constructive dialogue, the parties considered issues of mutual interest, expressing readiness to further develop and strengthen relations.
 
Following the meeting, R.Davletov invited Swedish colleagues to take part in the International Law Forum “Tashkent Law Spring”.
 
As reported by the Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Justice, the Ambassador of Sweden arrived in Tashkent to participate in Uzbekistan – Sweden business forum dedicated to cooperation of the two countries’ companies, which will include presentations of Swedish companies doing business in Uzbekistan.
