Delegation of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan is attending the GIZ project “Advanced training of medical and technical professionals to work with modern high technology medical equipment in Uzbekistan”, in Germany.
The visit of Uzbekistan delegation within the framework of the GIZ project and the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan is aimed at increasing the capacity of medical workers and technical personnel of Uzbekistan in using advanced modern medical technologies, as well as ensuring quality and improvement of management within the framework of procurement, logistics and maintenance activities in certain clinical areas.
Within the framework of the project, more than 2,500 medical and technical specialists working in Uzbekistan’s healthcare system have already been trained.
On February 19, a meeting of the working group was held in Hamburg, where the delegation of Uzbekistan held a presentation on “New development concept in medical sector of Uzbekistan for 2019-2025”. Speakers noted that with the approval of the Decree of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev “On comprehensive measures for radically improving healthcare system of the Republic of Uzbekistan” Healthcare System Development Concept of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2019-2025, the country’s health sector is moving into a completely new system of healthcare management and financing of the sphere.
Measures on optimizing the process in emergency medical care, preparation of contracts for export and import of high technologies in Uzbekistan’s healthcare system were also discussed. The need for studying experience and advanced technologies applied in Germany’s healthcare system was noted.
During the visit, which will last until February 27, specialists of the Ministry of Health and its subordinate institutions will become acquainted with hospital management and healthcare financing systems, as well as, management of medical technologies in Germany, medical equipment manufacturers.
