The Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted an international scientific practical workshop on this topic at Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies.
The event was attended by representatives of national science, leading scientists of Laboratory of Information Technologies of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (Dubna, Russia), as well as representatives of the Central Asian Research and Education Network (CAREN).
The Joint Institute for Nuclear Research is a prestigious, internationally recognized scientific center. Every year cooperation between scientists of Uzbekistan and the institute that has established scientific cooperation with eighteen countries is becoming stronger. The main activity of the Laboratory of Information Technologies of the Institute is to provide network, calculation and information resources, support experimental and theoretical research in elementary particle physics and the atomic nucleus.
Detailed information was provided on the role and importance of the Central Asian Research and Education Network as a high-speed communication system for research in the environment, seismology, telemedicine, preservation of natural and cultural heritage.
Following the event, participants exchanged views on enhancing the effectiveness of research activities, increasing the potential in science, technology and economics.
