Opening branches of leading foreign universities is also an investment

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the selector meeting on the issues of investment, held on January 8, noted that opening leading universities of foreign countries is a good investment in higher education, educated, modern specialists will greatly benefit the country.

This has been reported by the Press Service of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. 
 
There are 91 universities in Uzbekistan, of which 11 were created in cooperation with foreign education institutions or are their branches. Higher education institutions of Russia, the United Kingdom, South Korea, Singapore, Italy and their branches are operating.
 
In accordance with the resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan of January 7, 2019, India’s Amity University will open its branch in Tashkent city. It will train specialists in information-communication technologies at the level of international standards on software development, management of information and computer networks.
