Representatives of Bundestag visited Bukhara

Delegation led by the Chairman of Germany – Central Asia Parliamentary Group of German Bundestag visited Bukhara region on October 29.
Representatives of the parliamentary group got acquainted with activities of “Knauf Gips Bukhara” foreign enterprise operating in Kagan district.
In Uzbekistan, special attention is paid to attracting foreign investors and implementing promising joint projects with their participation. This is facilitated by the created favorable investment climate and business environment.
The enterprise successfully operating in Bukhara region and organized jointly with Knauf world famous international group, in 2009 began to produce high-quality dry mixes on the basis of gypsum. It has made a great contribution to formation of dry and modified building mixes market in Uzbekistan.
In September 2011, Knauf Gips Bukhara foreign enterprise launched a plant for production of drywall, in May, the capacity of plant has been upgraded. As a result, the line productivity has increased by 30 percent, production of more than 30 million square meters of drywall per year has been mastered.
Members of the parliamentary group of Germany became familiar with activities of the plant, equipped with modern technologies. It was noted that construction materials of the enterprise are in high demand not only in domestic but also in foreign markets.
During the visit, guests got acquainted with historical-architectural monuments and sights of Bukhara.
