An international scientific practical conference on “The role of civil society institutions in strengthening families and upbringing the younger generation” was held in Tashkent.
It was attended by leading experts, scientists and specialists from Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Egypt, Italy, India, Kazakhstan, South Korea, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Spain, Tajikistan, the United Kingdom, representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in the country, responsible officials of civil society institutions and the Women’s Committee.
The event was held by the Republican Council for Coordination of Activities of Civil Society Institutions jointly with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Scientific Practical Research Center Oila, the Women’s Committee, the Institute for Strategic and Interregional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Independent Institute for Monitoring the Formation of Civil Society, as well as Tashkent city khokimiyat.
The conference provided detailed information on the essence and significance of the Concept of strengthening the family institute in the Republic of Uzbekistan. Views and experience were exchanged on legal, organizational and methodological issues of participation of civil society institutions and public structures in educating independently thinking, initiative and active youth. Practical suggestions and recommendations have been developed on the discussed issues.
