At the event, Deputy Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education U.Begimkulov and others noted that significant work is being carried out in Uzbekistan on fundamentally improving the system of higher education at the level of modern requirements, advanced training of promising young teaching-scientific personnel in leading foreign scientific and education institutions.

 

From October 2017 to March 2018, within the framework of JDS project, 15 young personnel were selected for training in master's degree of higher education institutions of Japan.

 

The Human Resource Development Scholarship project was launched in 1999 to train professionals for developing countries. To date, representatives from 12 countries have participated in it. During this period, 310 young professionals from Uzbekistan enriched their knowledge and passed qualification improvement courses.

 

As it was noted in 2018 another 15 scholarship holders, selected for masters and doctoral programs in such areas as improving economic infrastructure, business, legislative system, healthcare, received the right to study and pass advanced training courses in prestigious universities of Japan. They will use experience and knowledge gained during the two-year training in various ministries and departments of Uzbekistan, contribute to development of the scope of their activities and strengthen cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and Japan.
