Writers Unions of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan signed a Memorandum of Cooperation

Within the framework of the International conference on “Problems of studying and disseminating of Uzbek classical and contemporary literature in the international scale”, a meeting with the chairman of the Writers Union of Kazakhstan Ulugbek Esdaulet was held at the Writers Union of Uzbekistan.
In recent years, large-scale work has been carried out to develop, popularize Uzbek classical and contemporary literature abroad, to familiarize people of the world, including fraternal people, with literary works, translate the best works into Uzbek.
– The announcement in Kazakhstan of the Year of Uzbekistan, the adoption by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of the resolution on the study and propaganda of Abai’s literary heritage testify to strengthening of friendship between our fraternal people, – says U.Esdaulet. – We, writers of Kazakhstan, are very pleased with this circumstance. This is a clear testament to the attention of the Head of your state to literature. This initiative on the way of further rapprochement of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan writers will promote development of creative cooperation.
Following the event, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Writers Unions of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
