The regular session of the International Press Club was devoted to this issue. Large-scale construction activities being carried out in Tashkent, the planned projects requiring solutions to problems were discussed at the event. 

Acting khokim of Tashkent Jakhongir Artikhodjayev dwelled on problems and shortcomings that are encountered in the city. In particular, he emphasized that the khokimiyat remains the main service body (it is engaged in such work as cleaning, construction, demolition), partnership with organizations have not been established in implementation of new projects, activities of district centers are not satisfactory, the disorder of wholesale trade markets is preserved, which negatively affects transport traffic, in some areas there are not enough social and sports facilities. 

D.Artikhodjayev made a number of proposals on solving problems. For example, the proposal on keeping in the city only high-tech enterprises with large projects, construction of entertainment centers, a separate center for each of the districts of Tashkent. 

In the coming days, projects of 4 exemplary streets will be presented. 

Information was provided on construction of Tashkent City international business center, the above-ground ring line of Tashkent metro, the three-level modern bridge at the intersection of Makhtumkuli and Akhangaran streets, the ice arena in Chilanzar district and others.
