Samarkand regional khokimiyat hosted a meeting with members of delegation led by project manager of the French Development Agency Alexander Monteiro. 

Khokim of Samarkand region T.Jurayev informed guests about activities carried out on improvement of the region, waste processing, process of large-scale reforms implemented in the region. It was noted that implementation of project in Samarkand with French partners on export of municipal waste, their sorting and processing creates basis for further strengthening of cooperation. 

Alexander Monteiro noted that French side is also interested in a joint project, that in the future it will be possible to continue joint projects not only in the field of solid waste processing, but also in other spheres. 

After full implementation of the project by French Development Agency, the working process will be organized on the basis of “Marokand obod” state unitary enterprise. 

Following the meeting, documents aimed at strengthening cooperation were signed between Samarkand regional khokimiyat and French Development Agency.
